The Pocket Snails® website has been designed to provide our visitors with information about the Pocket Snails products and our company, Soaring Star Productions, LLC. We do not promote or endorse any other companies or any other products other than those produced by Soaring Star Productions, LLC.

We are respectful of, and committed to, protecting your privacy. At Soaring Star Productions, LLC, we especially recognize the unique and sensitive issues surrounding the privacy and protection of children who use our website. We consider this website appealing to children due to the very nature of the products that we produce and sell, the colors used, the activities suggested and the graphics contained within our site. Our website is, therefore, designed to comply with, and adhere to, the policies set out in the April 21st 2000 Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and the Children's Advertising Review Unit (CARU). Both COPPA and CARU set out guidelines for websites that: appeal to children, are geared towards children, and who may collect personally identifiable information about children under 13. In keeping with those guidelines we do NOT:

Collect, store, use, disclose, exchange, trade, swap, auction, rent, hire, lease, barter, or purchase personal on-line information about children under 13 years of age who visit and use our website(s)

Collect any personally identifiable off-line information, or contact information, about children under 13 years of age who use and visit our website. In the case of mail-in promotions, sweepstakes and/or competitions that are open to entrants under the age of 13, any entrant under the age of 13 will have to provide the express and signed consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Additionally:

Any personally identifiable information about children under the age of 13, gathered during promotional activities, sweepstakes and/or competitions, will be held in the utmost and strictest confidence, will not be distributed, shared, sold, swapped, traded, rented, leased, bartered or given freely or otherwise to any third parties, unless they are directly connected with the operations of our company, for example a shipping company will need your address in order to ship your prize, and this will only happen after the parent or legal guardian has been contacted. They are allowed to use your information to perform the task they were hired for (for example, to ship your product), and for no other reason. Any breech of that agreement is a violation of our terms and conditions. We are, however, not liable for the behavior of any third party company. This information will be stored securely by us for the length of the promotion, and until prizes or promotional products are awarded, and then will be disposed of in a thorough, confidential and secure manner so as not reveal any personally identifiable information of entrants under 13 years of age.

We do not, and do not plan to, have any message boards or chat rooms where children under 13 can post and reveal personally identifiable information about themselves, or about other children. We will not enable children to post this information publicly on our sites, or to distribute their personally identifiable information via our website.

We do not entice or coerce children into revealing information about themselves. Any promotion, sweepstakes and/or competition offered to children under 13 will require the written consent of a parent or legal guardian. Our promotions offering prizes, sweepstakes or competitions may be held via mail-in entry and/or online entry, and all entries received by us via mail from children under 13 will be securely and thoroughly disposed of in a confidential and complete manner, for example by shredding, as soon as prizes are awarded. Please note, we cannot be held responsible for any entries that, although may have been mailed to us, we do not receive. Any entries received after the close date of any promotion, sweepstakes and/or competition will be treated with the same level of security and confidentiality and will also be disposed of promptly and thoroughly.

If a child under 13 years of age is selected as a prize winner, we will notify the consenting parent or legal guardian that is on the entry form. The information supplied to us for promotions, sweepstakes and/or competitions will not be used for any purpose other than the entry into the promotion, sweepstakes and/or competition, and will never be given freely or otherwise to any third party.

Occasionally, we may offer prizes or promotions via a third party, such as magazines. In these circumstances, we will comply with the rules and regulations and the privacy policy of that third party and your information, if sent to them, is under their control, and not ours. Therefore we cannot be held responsible in any way for any misuse, loss or breech of your privacy by that third party. We do have online contact email facilities, and children may decide to contact us via these emails. We strongly encourage you to be involved with your child's online activities and to monitor their communications online. We do request that children under 13 seek and obtain the permission of a parent or legal guardian before contacting us. We may respond to online requests, questions or enquiries if connected to the Pocket Snails or to our company, Soaring Star Productions, LLC, at our sole discretion. We absolutely will not engage in any email conversation that is inappropriate, misleads, and/or is designed to entice a child to reveal information about themselves or others, or encourages a breech of any of the policies we adhere to.

We will do our very best to make sure that any links guide you to safe places for both you and your child to visit. As a parent, you have the right to ask to review any personal information about your child that may have been collected by us via mail-in entry forms for promotional reasons as set out above, and you may request the immediate and complete disposal of this information in a prompt and confidential manner by us, if indeed we still have that information, since mail-in entries from children under 13 years of age are disposed of immediately after prizes are awarded. At Soaring Star Productions, LLC, we respect your rights as a parent and will honor any requests to review personal information about your child. You may also instruct us not to collect your child's information in the future. Any personal information given to us, for example, during online ordering, will be held in the utmost confidentiality and security, and we are committed to maintaining this policy to protect our users. Online orders must be made by persons aged 18 or older. We are committed to protecting your privacy, and as stated above, your information will not be given away freely or otherwise to any third party unless the third party is directly connected with fulfilling your order (for example, a shipping company to ship your order will need your name and address), or unless we are required to do so by law, court order or subpoena; to enforce our Terms of Use, if being violated or abused; or to protect the safety and security of our other users, especially children under 13. We may use this information to send you promotions, information, coupons, news about our products, new releases, changes in our company etc, unless you specifically opt-out of receiving any communication from us.
