Family Fun Magazine, September 2005

FamilyFun is the country's number one family magazine published by Disney Publishing Worldwide. Pocket Snails Letter Adventure and Other Snaily Songs CD features in Family Fun's "Our Favorite Things" section of the September 2005 issue.

"A delightful twist on the alphabet, Pocket Snails Letter Adventure and Other Snaily Songs features three British-accented gastropods that teach prereading skills through eighties-style synth-pop music. And these simple, bouncy tunes are just the thing for conveying the fun of learning letters and sounds. Standout tracks include "We Love the Vowels," "Upper Case, Lower Case" ("Upper case letters are found at the start/Of names and of places; it's what sets them apart"), and "Tell Me All About (Phonics)," in which the Pocket Snails go through the various sounds of each letter in turn."

Midwest Book Review, June 2005

Established in 1976, the Midwest Book Review publishes several monthly publications for community and academic library systems in California, Wisconsin, and the upper Midwest. Pocket Snails Letter Adventure & Other Snaily Songs CD is reviewed in the June issue.

"Part of the imaginatively produced and highly recommended 'Pocket Snails' series for children ages two through five, Letter Adventure & Other Snaily Songs focuses on helping toddlers learn their ABCs through twelve lively songs as Jake, a young boy learning about the world around him with the help of three snails (Gordon, Dale, and Buttons) who live right in Jake's pocket. The lively and rhythmic tunes have a total running time of 30 minutes."

Family Review Center, December 2005

"A fun video, children ages 2-5 are sure to enjoy. The music is great, perfect for the suggested age level of the video. And, to make a great set, [Soaring Star] offer a CD with the songs and music your child can listen to at any time, even when they cannot watch the video.

The video uses a lot of letter repetition and review, which instills the lessons learned. It moves slow enough to really teach, but fast enough to hold their attention. The colors are vivid and the characters are delightful."

Publishers Weekly, January 2005

Publishers Weekly is the 131-year-old international news magazine serving all segments involved in the creation, production, marketing and sale of the written word in book, audio, video and electronic formats. Pocket Snails Letter Adventure & Other Snaily Songs CD features in the January issue.

"A cross between the Wiggles and the Chipmunks, the Pocket Snails (who live in the pocket of a boy named Jake, of course) help teach and reinforce the alphabet with a techno beat on Letter Adventure & Other Snaily Songs. Phonics, vowels and upper and lower-case letters get into the groove, too. An animated companion video featuring these concepts and sounds is also available."
